Letters and Elves

And the holiday season has begun. What a better way to start than by writing our letters to Santa and putting them in the mail .  Of course our list changes as we see new things each day. Another new tradition this year was our visit from our Elf on the Shelf. We named him Buddy and he reports back to Santa each day.  We visited Santa but were a little hesitant to sit on his lap. We did however see him  at Daddy's work party last night and we liked him a little better this time.  I am excited for the other holiday things we have left to do, like make our gingerbread house , bake cookies and see lots of family.

October all in one blog

This month we have gone to the pumpkin patch , carved pumpkins, went to Great Wolf Lodge , Reid experienced his first OU game, played in our never ending leaf piles and of course celebrated Halloween ( I think Reid got to wear his costume 5 different times to various things ).  So there it is, too much to tell all in detail.  I can say we had a busy , but "super fun", as Reid would say, month. I like to think of it as making great memories with my ever so active boys. November, we can't wait to see what you have in store. Although it looks to be a little less busy, so we will see. Except for the piles of leaves , they will never end in our yard with a zillion trees. :)

All about fun

Just a few fun things we have done the last few weeks.  Life with my boys is always full of fun.
Reid loves creativity, Parker loves balls and running or screaming.  Including me leaving him at Mother's Day Out and them calling one hour into into to say he cried the entire time since I left.  I am trying to get him use to someone other than me,Mark, or my mom.  One full month paid, maybe better luck next Friday.
Reid on the other hand loves school .  He cries when he can't go. So funny how different they are. Next week is the fair. Need I say more .......................................:)

School Days, School Days

Reid's first day of 3 yr old preschool was today.  He had been looking forward to it for so long. He picked his own backpack and his outfit out for the day.  It was earlier than we are use to getting around, but we all made it to take him to his first day.  Parker was not real excited and cried alot of the time.  We are so blessed to have two wonderful women teaching him. They just started this preschool this year at our church and it is going to be such a great experience for him.  Parker and I aren't sure what we will do for these three mornings each week, but we will manage.  I just realized as I drove away how time has flown already.  He will always be in school now and never at home all day with me.  I treasure the time I got to spend this last year and look forward to many more as he grows into an amazing little guy. I better stop before I cry again.

Disney Trip 2010

Our trip to Disney was so much fun. We took 12 days, since we drove.  We spent some time at Disney by ourselves and then my family joined us for 3 of those days.  Six total days were spent driving. Man was that a blast:).  Reid did great, Parker needed out every few hours. Let's just say we stopped at alot of fast food play areas along the way.  We spent one day on the way home on the beach and it was beautiful. We may move to Florida someday.  I hope Mark can earn another trip in the upcoming years because the trip was "Magical".

Since the boys wouldn't , Mark posed with Piglet. Here they are making a huge sand castle on Destin beach.

Parker loved the sand.

Reid loved the waves. Not so sure about any of the characters. In fact below is Reid hiding his eyes Under the table when they came around.  So he never got a photo with anyone.

It was a long walk down many hallways to our room.  This was on our way back to take a nap.

Parker got to ride alot of the rides with us.

Buzz Lightyear was a fav, we rode it several times.

Puddles!!!

It rained last night (alot) and ruined our plans to go to the SplashPad with some friends.  But who needs that when you have puddles in your very own yard.  The boys have been loving playing in the water (pools, sprinklers), but they thought this was just tons of fun.  I had let them play in a mud puddle a few weeks back and they laughed and laughed, of course I did not have my camera.  This was almost as much fun. So now we are hoping the leak in our (new) roof doesn't turn our entry into a place to splash .
Bring on summer!!!!!!!

Aquarium in Jenks

Aunt Shanna had been wanting us to come visit the Jenk's Aquarium. We had planned a trip in March which got cancelled because of snow.  This past Sunday we just made a day of it by starting off at Shanna and Rafy's church to see Shanna sing in the band. Way to go Sis!  We were excited to see the big sharks.
Parker was actually more fascinated by all the fish, etc than Reid.  Lots of pics , some taken by Uncle Rafy (thanks).  We got to touch and point and it was really cool.  Gran,Papa, JaJa(Jenna) and Skylar got to come too of course.  Can't wait to go back.  The boys were so tired they both slept the whole way home.

We can't wait for more summer adventures.

On a side note:  Reid says Peach now for some unknown reason to answer a multitude of questions. Example: What did you do outside with Daddy?  Peach
Where are your shoes?  Peach
It is funny ..............sometimes.  And for an extra funny ............ The other day I was laughing with Reid at something we were doing at lunch.  As we all know I still carry about 15 lbs of extra baby weight all in my front.  While I was laughing Reid says " Mommy why are your boobies and belly laughing too ".  Gotta love when your 3 yr old notices bouncy fat!!
